Magnesia insulated heavy-duty fireproof cable with copper core and copper sheathed (hereinafter referred to as the heavy-duty mineral insulated cable) is a kind of new cable, whose outer layer is made from seamless copper tube sheath, its intermediate layer is filled with magnesium oxide crystal powder as insulating material, and its conductor is single stranded copper rod.
Main characteristics
It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, fire prevention, explosion resistance, non-combustion (it can run continuously for a long time at 250°C, and can also run for 30min under the limit state of 1,000°C), large current carrying capacity, small outer diameter, high mechanical strength, long service life, and generally not requiring independent ground wires.

Better fire resistance is one of the superior characteristics of mineral insulated cables. Therefore, when people choose mineral insulated cables, they link them with fire resistance requirements, and call them "fireproof cables". In fact, it has a wide range of applications, such as at sea, on land, indoors and outdoors, above ground and underground. It is especially applied in historic buildings, super high-rises, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, airports, television stations, communication hub projects, ships, theaters, ancient buildings, subways, civil defense projects, crowded public places, and dangerous places prone to fire (such as natural gas plants, chemical plants, oil refineries, and offshore oil platforms). In particular, the performance of low-smoke halogen-free (low-halogen) cable conforms to GB/T 17650-1-2-1998, GB/T 17651.1-2-1998. Product usage
This product is applicable to overhead power lines with the AC rated voltage U(Um) of 10 (12) kV.
Service conditions
1) The maximum long-term allowable working temperature for cable conductors shall be 90℃.
2) The laying temperature shall not be lower than -20℃.
3) When short circuit occurs (the maximum duration does not exceed 5s), the maximum temperature of conductors shall not exceed 250℃.

Prefabricated multi-core branch cables
In order to adapt to the development of residential buildings, electrical engineers have provided valuable advices. On the basis of single-core prefabricated branch cable, our company has developed a new generation of three-phase five-wire multi-core prefabricated branch cable series products. It is mainly suitable for lighting system of multi-layer inspection.
Due to the large appearance and heavy weight of multi-core cables, the outer diameter of prefabricated branch cables is larger. This will cause difficulties in laying. Therefore, the largest prefabricated multi-core branch cables currently produced by our company are limited to 240mm² and below, with the types including flame-retardant type, clean type and fire-resistant type.
At present, if the cross section of the main cable of the prefabricated multi-core branch cables is 6mm²-50mm² and the cross section of the branch cable is 4mm²-25mm², the single-core branch cables may be prefabricated with multi-core cable. If the cross section of the branch wire is 35mm²-50mm², the single-core branch cables may be prefabricated with multi-core cable. If the cross section of main cables is 70mm²-240mm², and the cross section of branch cables is 40mm²-50mm², the split branch cable may be prefabricated with multi-core cables. If the cross section of branch cables is greater than 50mm², the split branch cables may be prefabricated with multi-core cables. The main cables may be two-core, three-core, four-core and five-core cables, and the branch cables may be the random combination of two-core, three-core, four-core and five-core cables. The carrying capacity of multi-core prefabricated branch cable is the same as that of multi-core cables, and its installation method is similar to the multi-core cable.

I. Introduction of conductors
Honglian rare earth aluminum alloy conductor is the 8000 series aluminum alloy conductor specially developed for power distribution. In the United States NEC standard, it is clearly stipulated that the aluminum alloy cables for buildings should adopt 8000 series aluminum alloy.
II. Introduction of the conductivity
Compared with cables of the same specifications, the conductivity of Honglian rare earth aluminum alloy cable conductor is 62% of the commonly used International Annealed Copper Standard (IACS). According to the distribution of cable section specifications in international standards, when the cross section of the rare-earth aluminum alloy conductor is increased by 1.5 times, its electrical performance is comparable to that of copper cables.
III. Link performance
The connection performance of the alloy composition of the rare-earth aluminum alloy cable conductor has been greatly improved. When the conductor is annealed, the addition of iron elements has greatly enhanced the creep resistance of conductors, ensuring the stable connection even when being overloaded and overheated for a long time. The results of the connector experiment conducted by Georgia Power show that adopting the copper and aluminum transition terminals passing 1,000 thermal cycle experiments in GB9327 (modified by IEC61238) can completely solve the thermal expansion problem and the electrochemical corrosion problem of copper and aluminum at the connection of the two metals, fundamentally ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of the connection.
IV. Anticorrosive capacity
The rare-earth aluminum alloy conductor can form a dense oxide layer immediately when it comes into contact with air, which is particularly resistant to various forms of corrosion and thus has the characteristics of withstanding the harshest environment. In combination with the optimization of the material structure inside the alloy conductor and the application of silane crosslinked polyethylene materials, the rare earth aluminum alloy cable has better corrosion resistance and its service life is more than 10 years longer than that of copper cables.
